To provide an aqueous composition of an acrylic copolymer, capable of providing a product finished by screen printing, having various kinds of properties such as water resistance, heat resistance and durability, and also having a soft and fine pattern by the finish at a comparatively low temperature, and hardly containing or generating a toxic substance.

The aqueous composition of the acrylic copolymer for the textile printing contains fine particles (A) of the acrylic copolymer containing a carboxy group and having a glass transition temperature (Tg) within a specific range. The fine particle (A) of the acrylic copolymer is obtained by an emulsion copolymerization in the presence of a succinate ester-type anionically copolymerizable surfactant, and has ≤200 nm average particle diameter.
