Title:
AQUEOUS COMPOSITION FOR THERMOCOMPRESSION BONDING FOR ENVELOPE MADE OF PAPER OR THE SAME FOR CHOPSTICK BAG MADE OF PAPER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2007217612
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an aqueous composition for thermocompression bonding, which is used for obtaining envelopes made of paper or chopstick bags made of paper that are free from problems such as the paste protrusion from a glued part and the deterioration in appearance due to paper sheet curling.

The aqueous composition for thermocompression bonding is used for envelopes made of paper or chopstick bags made of paper, which contains the following (A) and (B) and has viscosity (measured using Zahn cup R#4 at 25°C) ranging from 10 to 60 seconds: (A) 20 to 50% by mass in terms of a total solid content of (A-1)+(A-2) in 100% by mass of an aqueous composition for thermocompression bonding, wherein (A-1) is an aqueous acrylic emulsion with a glass transition temperature ranging from -40 to 0°C and/or (A-2) is an aqueous ethylene-vinyl acetate type emulsion with a glass transition temperature ranging from -40 to 0°C; and (B) 1 to 10% by mass in terms of a total solid content of (B-1)+(B-2) in 100% by mass of an aqueous composition for thermocompression bonding, wherein (B-1) is a polyethylene wax with a mean particle diameter ranging from 2 to 10 μm and/or (B-2) is silica.
