Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an aqueous composition, an aqueous coating agent and a recording agent for an ink jet, excellent in mixing stability, membrane uniformity, solvent resistance, etc. SOLUTION: The aqueous composition, coating agent and recording agent consist of (A) a polyurethane-based emulsion obtained by reacting a polyurethane prepolymer containing isocyanate group in its molecule with (a) a vinyl alcohol- based polymer having at least one kind of functional group selected from amino group, primary hydroxyl group and acetoacetyl group and (b) a low molecular weight compound having amino group or hydroxyl group in an aqueous medium, (B) a vinyl alcohol-based polymer and (C) at least one kind agent for making the composition as water resistant selected from a polyamideepichlorohydrin resin, an epoxy compound, an aldehyde compound and an isocyanate compound.
