Abstract:
To provide an aqueous dispersant having excellent adsorption to hydrophobic particles such as pigment particles and excellent long-term storage stability and to provide an ink composition comprising the aqueous dispersant.
This aqueous dispersant contains a block copolymer comprising a hydrophilic moiety and a hydrophobic moiety having a hydrophobic substituent attached to a terminal end of the hydrophobic moiety. The hydrophobic substituent is a substituted or unsubstituted C1-C20 alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C6-C20 aryl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C2-C20 heteroaryl group or a substituted or unsubstituted C7-C20 arylalkyl group.
