Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an aqueous emulsion-type adhesive free from the generation of wrinkles on a paper material even in the case where the adhesive is applied on the paper material, and having a fast setting speed.
SOLUTION: This aqueous emulsion-type adhesive is an aqueous emulsion-type adhesive in which a polymer is dispersed in water, which comprises an acrylic polymer, a vinyl acetate polymer and a polyalcohol, and whose water content is ≤36 mass%. In the aqueous emulsion-type adhesive, the ratio of the acrylic polymer to the vinyl acetate polymer is, for example, the former/the latter of 1/99 to 99/1. The examples of the vinyl acetate polymer include an ethylene- vinyl acetate copolymer, and those of the polyalcohol include a sugar alcohol. The content of the polyalcohol is, for example, about 1-20 mass%.
