Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous ophthalmic composition containing the concentration of 0.01 to 0.08%(w/v) of cyclosporin A, which is stable, has low ocular stimulation and is clean.SOLUTION: An ophthalmic composition containing cyclosporin A comprises a polyethoxylated castor oil derivative and polyethylene glycol, so that the composition can be formulated as a clean aqueous composition, and has stability and safety. Consequently, the ophthalmic composition containing cyclosporin A is suitably used for treatment such as dry eye.
