PURPOSE: To obtain the composition containing a pigment, water, a dispersing agent and hydrolyzate of keratin and its derivative and causing no clogging even in a lapse of time and capable of smoothly discharging because the pigment does not sedimentate and aggregate when used for writing tool, printer, etc.
CONSTITUTION: The composition is obtained by blending (A) a pigment with (B) water, (C) a dispersing agent (e.g. a high polymer dispersing agent such as gum arabic, (D) a keratin hydrolyzate and/or its derivative, preferably at ratios of 0.5-15wt.% component A, 1-20wt.% component C and 2-200wt.% component D based on total amount of aqueous composition. The component D is preferably obtained by hydrolyzing a protein containing a keratin structure such as hair keratin protein.
