Title:
AQUEOUS PIGMENT DISPERSION, WATER BASE INK AND IMAGE- FORMING METHOD BY USING THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2002256166
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
To provide a water base ink which secures the dispersion stability of organic pigment particles in the water base ink using the organic pigment particles having a small primary particle diameter and farther improves the chroma and transparency of colored images to be obtained thereby and, simultaneously, can impart a sense of gloss and excellent fretting properties.
As the coloring material of a water base ink, a microencapsulated pigment obtained by subjecting organic pigment particles having a particle diameter of 10-50 nm to plasma treatment to introduce polar groups to the surfaces of the particles and further applying an organic polymeric compound having an ionic group on the particle surfaces is used.
