To provide an aqueous pressure sensitive adhesive composition imparting a smooth coated surface free from slight touching and cissing in coating the aqueous pressure sensitive adhesive by using a gravure system, and to provide a method for coating the same and to provide a coated article of the pressure sensitive adhesive.
The invention relates to the aqueous pressure sensitive adhesive composition comprising an aqueous dispersion of a resin composition for the pressure sensitive adhesive obtained by polymerizing an ethylenic unsaturated monomer (A), an emulsifier, a polymerization initiator and water as essential components in aqueous medium, wherein the aqueous pressure sensitive adhesive composition has ≤1000 mPa s of viscosity measured by using BL type viscometer at 25°C, and 2.0×10-1-7.0×101 Pa s of viscosity under 1.0×10-2 (1/s) of shearing rate and 2.0×10-2-9.0×10-2 Pa s of viscosity under 1.0×103 (1/s) of shearing rate by using a Rheometer.
