Abstract:
To provide an aqueous resin composition which gives a cured item excellent in durability (e.g. weatherability and resistance to acid rain), resistance to staining due to exposure, and warm water resistance; and its production method.
This aqueous resin composition is prepared by mixing (A) a composite resin comprising polysiloxane segments having silicon atoms bonded to hydrolyzable groups and/or hydroxy groups and polymer segments other than the polysiloxane segments and having hydrophilic groups with (B) a polymer other than a polysiloxane and having silicon atoms bonded to hydrolyzable groups and/or hydroxy groups and dissolving or dispersing the resultant mixture in an aqueous medium.
