Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous resin composition for treating an aluminum/zinc alloy galvanized steel sheet which can be desirably applied to the sheet, imparts thereto excellent formability, corrosion resistance, blackening resistance, weathering resistance, and adhesion to a coating film, and is excellent in storage stability, to provide a method for coating an aluminum/zinc alloy galvanized steel sheet, and to provide an aluminum/zinc alloy galvanized steel sheet.
SOLUTION: The aqueous resin composition for treating the aluminum/zinc alloy galvanized steel sheet contains (a) an anionic aqueous polyurethane dispersion, (b) a silane coupling agent, and (c) a water-soluble zirconium compound, wherein the anionic aqueous polyurethane dispersion (a) has a glass transition temperature (Tg) of 50°C or lower, the water-soluble zirconium compound (c) develops a pH of 7 to 11 when dissolved in water. The aqueous resin composition has a pH of 7 to 10.
