Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a composition having excellent processability and water dispersion stability by blending a partially bonded substance of an acrylic resin having low acid value and an epoxy resin with an acrylic resin having high acid value, further precondensing the blend with an amino resin, etc., and dispersing the resulting substance into a specific aqueous solution.
CONSTITUTION: (A) An acrylic resin having 0-70 (preferably ≤50) acid value is partially bonded to (B) an epoxy resin, the bonded material is blended with (C) an acrylic resin having 100-500 (preferably 150-350) acid value or the component B is partially bonded to the acrylic resin. The resulting substance is precondensed with (D) a resol type phenol resin and/or amino resin and the precondensate is dispersed into (E) an aqueous solution of a volatile base such as ammonia or methylamine to give the objective composition.
