Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an aqueous resin dispersion capable of forming a membrane having excellent stability and durability, useful for a coating material, a cement modifier etc., by copolymerizing a specific compound and a monomer including an α,β-ethylenically unsaturated bond in the presence of a polyurethane aqueous resin dispersion.
SOLUTION: This aqueous resin dispersion is obtained by copolymerizing a compound of formula I (R1 is H or CH3; R2 is a group of formulas II and III), preferably methylglycidyl (meth)acrylate and (3,4-epoxycyclohexyl)methyl (meth)acrylate with a monomer including α, β-ethylenically unsaturated bond, preferably N-methylol (meth)acrylamide, 2-hydroxypropyl (meth)acrylate, allyl alcohol, etc., in the presence of a polyurethane aqueous resin dispersion, and is useful for an adhesion, a paper processing agent, a fiber processing agent, a mortar modifier, etc.
