To provide a method for separating a composite material, which can recover a metal that is a separated component material, in a state of being capable of being recycled, and to provide a recovered metal.
This recovered metal is a metal that is recovered by immersing a rear glass 50 for an automobile, which includes a glass 52, a heat wire 51 that has been printed by using a metal paste and baked on the glass face, and a ceramic color 53 that has been printed and baked on the glass face, into an aqueous solution for separating the composite material, which contains sulfamic acid, phosphoric acid and ammonium fluoride, and has a hydrogen ion concentration (pH) smaller than 5 to decompose the rear glass 50, and contains 80% or more of the metal before being recovered.
