To provide an aqueous transparent gel-like composition which suppresses stickiness and is excellent in stability at high temperature.SOLUTION: There is provided an aqueous transparent gel-like composition which comprises a compound represented by the general formula (1), a betaine compound, a solvent having an IOB value of more than 1.3 and 3.3 or less and water, wherein the content rate of the compound represented by the general formula (1) is 1 mass% or more and 3 mass% or less based on the total amount of the aqueous transparent gel-like composition, the content rate of the betaine compound is 1 mass% or more and 10 mass% or less based on the total amount of the aqueous transparent gel-like composition, the content rate of the solvent having an IOB value of more than 1.3 and 3.3 or less is 1 mass% or more and 10 mass% or less based on the total amount of the aqueous transparent gel-like composition, [in the general formula (1), R1: a group represented by R11-(O-R12)x-, R11: a hydrocarbon group, R12: an alkylene group having 2 to 4 carbon atoms, x: an integer of 1 to 500, R2: a hydrocarbon group, R3: an alkylene group having 2 to 4 carbon atoms, n: an integer of 1 to 500, m: an integer of 1 or more].SELECTED DRAWING: None
