To provide an aramid fiber to which resorcinol-formalin-rubber latex (RFL) treatment agent can be adhered with high density, and an aramid fiber that is suitable as a rubber-reinforcing fiber.

There is provided an aramid fiber that is obtained by drying an aramid fiber after being spun and neutralized or after being spun, neutralized and washed to a moisture content of 15 wt.% or less, and applying a finishing oil solution which does not contain epoxy to the fiber twice in a two-bath process. The aramid fiber is obtained by applying a hardening epoxy compound or a hardening epoxy compound and a compatibilizer, and further applying a resorcinol-formalin-rubber latex (RFL) to the fiber.
