Abstract:
PURPOSE: To accurately detect existence of arc between a pantograph and a stringing.
CONSTITUTION: Potential of a pantograph 2 is detected through a current doubler 8 and delivered to a comparator 12 which then produces a potential signal 13. An-acceleration sensor 3 fixed to the pantograph 2 detects vibrational acceleration of the pantograph 2 which is then fed through an amplifier 4 and a bandpass filter 5 to a comparator 6 in order to produce a contact loss signal 14. An AND gate 15 then produces a logical product of these two signals thus producing an arc signal 16.
