Abstract:
This arc-extinguishing device (100) eliminates an arc generated when a circuit breaker blocks an electric current. The arc-extinguishing device (100) comprises: a lower lid (1) that has a first sidewall and a second sidewall that face each other, and that constitutes an outer shell of the arc-extinguishing device (100); a plurality of grids that are held by the lower lid (1), and that separate an arc in the interior of the arc-extinguishing device (100); and an upper lid (4) that is attached to the lower lid (1) and that covers the plurality of grids. The lower lid (1), the plurality of grids, and the upper lid (4) constitute a unit structure wherein said components can be detached from the circuit breaker in a state of being integrated with each other, and can be mounted to the circuit breaker in a state of being integrated with each other. The first sidewall and the second sidewall each have a plurality of holding grooves. Each of the plurality of grids is held by a holding groove of the first sidewall and a holding groove of the second sidewall.
