Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arc failure detector constituted to reliably detect an arc failure of a branch system by the same circuit configuration and signal processing method irrespective of presence/absence of a backflow prevention element such as a diode.SOLUTION: An arc failure detector is provided with: a current detector 105 which detects an AC component and a DC component of current flowing to one branch line of a pair of branch lines connected with a positive side bus P and a negative side bus N; a voltage detector 106 which can detect voltage between two points on the one branch line; a voltage detector 107 which detects voltage between the pair of branch lines; current threshold determination circuits 123 to 125 which compare the AC component and the DC component detected by the current detector 105 with a threshold; voltage threshold determination circuits 121, 122 which compare the voltage detected by the voltage detectors 106, 107 with a threshold; and an OR gate 126, an AND gate 127, and a determination output part 131 which determine an arc failure in a branch system 5A by logic operations of output of the respective determination circuits 121 to 125.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
