SOLUTION: In an arched heat insulating roof structure executed by curving a heat insulating roof material 4 for filling a heat insulating material 3 between the obverse/reverse metallic skins 1, 2 in a gentle arc shape, a cutoff groove 6 is formed in a part of the reverse metallic skin 2 and the heat insulating material 3 in the direction almost orthogonal to the tangent direction of an arched surface of the heat insulating roof material 4 in a position of purlins 5 for supporting the heat insulating roof material 4, the heat insulating roof material 4 is fixed to the purlins 5 by a through bolt 7 in a position separate from the cutoff groove 6, and the cutoff groove 6 is positioned on the purlins 5.
