To provide a flat-screen television with which placement of an ornament and photograph thereon in the same manner like heretofore is possible while a screen of a television receiver is made increasingly thinner due to popularization of liquid crystal panels and plasma televisions, accompanying with which the tops of the televisions are thus far used to put the photographs, dolls, etc., thereon but such placement comes to be increasingly difficult.

The receiver includes a top plate of a large area in advance and can be furnished with the top plate made larger according to a customer's desire in installing the receiver.
