Abstract:
To provide a method for forming a continuous multilevel image similar to a printed image by suppressing a density change to a change in various conditions due to the use of a silver halide color photosensitive material and controlling various characteristics of a silver halide photosensitive material such as the paper quality, dot gain and density.
In the areal multilevel image forming method in which a silver halide photosensitive material having a silver halide emulsion layer on the base is imagewise exposed according to digital data with a directly modulated light emitting diode as a light source and is subjected to processing procedure, density and dot gain are independently controlled by exposure.
