Abstract:
To provide an arithmetic processing unit that receives power supply by using multiple power sources in combination, internally perform autonomous arithmetic processing, and suppresses cost associated with power consumption as much as possible.SOLUTION: An arithmetic processing unit used as one of power consuming device groups that receive power supply by using a commercial power system and an in-house power source in combination includes an arithmetic processing unit capable of adjusting the arithmetic capacity, a power value acquisition unit that acquires values related to power supply, and a capacity setting unit that sets the arithmetic capacity of the arithmetic processing unit on the basis of the value acquired by the power value acquisition unit. The capacity setting unit is configured to increase the arithmetic capacity when the value (S1) acquired by the power value acquisition unit satisfies a predetermined low cost condition (S5), and not to increase the arithmetic capacity (S6, S7) when the value does not satisfy the predetermined low cost condition. The arithmetic processing unit internally performs autonomous arithmetic processing for a specific purpose within the arithmetic capacity set by the capacity setting unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
