Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arm mechanism for a simulated human body for a collision test operated as same as the arm and the finger of the human being, when a vehicle collides.
SOLUTION: This arm mechanism for the simulated human body for the collision test of the present invention is constituted to include an upper arm part of which the upper end part is coupled with the torso of the simulated human body, a forearm part coupled turnably with a lower end part of the upper arm part, a wrist joint with one end coupled rotatably with the forearm part, and a thenar part coupled turnably with the other end of the wrist joint. The upper arm part is arranged with a drive unit having a housing and for driving the forearm part. The arm mechanism is operated as same as the arm and the finger of the human being in the collision, since the arm mechanism has a finger part to impart elastic force by driving the forearm part using the drive unit.
