To provide an arm support device for surgery, which surely attains the fixing force of an arm table without complicating the control logic even when variation and aged deterioration occur in components, reduces the operation sound, and further switches between fixing and releasing of the arm table without an electric motor.
An inner cylinder member 11 is disposed inside an outer cylinder 10, and an elevating rod 13 is disposed inside the inner cylinder member 11. The arm table 14 is rockably suitable for an elevating rod 13. The arm table 14 and the inner cylinder member 11 are connected to each other by a link member 15. The arm support device includes a fastener 16 for the outer cylinder 10, and a torque limiter mechanism 18 for regulating the transmission torque to the fastener 16 of the motor 17 to a predetermined value or less. The torque limiter mechanism 18 includes a roller disposed between a limiter side joint 61 and an opposed surface part 51c and a holding plate 63. The holding plate 63 holds the roller so that the center line of the roller is inclined at a predetermined angle to the radial direction of the limiter side joint 61.
