Abstract:

To improve positioning accuracy in an arm, while preventing reduction in an access speed of the arm, even if there is the contrary relationship between a torque characteristic and assembling rigidity.

The arm support mechanism has a cylindrical support member for rotatably supporting a base part of the arm, an inner ring provided on an outer peripheral surface of the support member, an outer ring provided separately from the inner ring, a rolling element rollably sandwiched in the circumferential direction of both rings by the inner ring and the outer ring, and a contact pressure adjusting part for adjusting contact pressure of the rolling element and both rings.
