To eliminate work for a nurse to install and fix an arm support tool preadjusted by a surgeon on and to a wheelchair, and to allow the surgeon to easily and finely adjust the height, the direction, and an inclination of an arm table by himself for changing a posture of his upper limbs in an operation.
This arm support tool has a diametrally expandable-contractible outer collet 2 fixed and supported in an attitude of extending the axis in the vertical direction, an elastic diametrally expandable-contractible inner collet 3 rotatably and liftably fitted inside the outer collet 2, a support shaft 5 liftably fitted inside the inner collet 3, the arm table 6 supported in an upper end part of the support shaft 5 so as to be rockable around the horizontal rocking axis C extending in the horizontal direction, a link member 7 for respectively rockably joining both end parts to the inner collet 3 and the arm table 6, a spring 8 interposed and inserted between the arm table 6 and the inner collet 3, and always upwardly energizing the arm table 6 to the inner collet 3, a spring 9 interposed and inserted between the support shaft 5 and the outer collet 2, and always upwardly energizing the support shaft 5 to the outer collet 2, an electric motor 10, and a screw mechanism 11 for diametrally expanding and contracting the outer collet 2.
