A winding 9 is formed between arbitrary slots 6c in the outer circumference of an armature core 6 by lap winding 42 times. A coil 10 conducting to a pair of adjacent commutator pieces 7a is arranged such that four sets each wound alternately with normal winding and reverse winding in four slots in the circumferential direction opposing respective magnetic poles are connected in series. Out of the coils 10 conducting to the adjacent commutator pieces 7a, first and third coils 10 opposing the N pole is constituted of the winding 9 of eleven turns, and second and fourth coils 10 opposing the S pole is constituted of the winding 9 of ten turns.
