Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce reactance voltage and improve commutating characteristics, by dividing an armature core axially in two, forming slots shifted by 1/2 slot pitches, and inserting two sections of a coil in one section. CONSTITUTION:An armature core is divided axially into two sections 1 and 1a. Slots for the core sections 1 and 1a are formed in circular position mutually separated by 1/2 slot pitches. An armature winding wound around said core is so constituted that the number of turns of an element winding for a coil side is two or more. All the coil elements are inserted into one sectional slot 1. The other sectional slot 1a is fitted therewith by dividing a coil side into neighboring two slots. This suppresses slot leakage flux and improves commutating characteristics.
