Title:
ARMOR STOP FOR METAL CLAD CONNECTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH11341663
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To obtain sure, correct, safe, mechanical and electric connection between a cable and a connector, by making an armor stopping wall uncontinuous around one or more conductors received inside a conductor receiving passage, so as to make the received one or more conductors pass.

Manipulation of an armor stop 10 is only to insert the armor stop 10 into a sealed chamber 26 simply, so that the range of the acceptable cable size of a connector 12 may be larger and that its brim may be approximately on the same plane with an internal shoulder 20. To arrange a cable 14 inside the connector 12 properly, at least a part of its sheath brim 18a hits against the brim of the armor stop 10. When the constituents of a connector are wholly assembled, it becomes possible to pull the armor stop 10 back from the sealed connector 12 by rotating a collor 30d around a central internal cavity 30c. Accordingly, it becomes possible to detach the stop 10 from the position of the periphery of an electric conductor 19.
