Abstract:
PURPOSE: To easily assemble and disassemble a retractable armrest with a simple construction and a fine appearance.
CONSTITUTION: A main body 2 of an armrest 1 is composed of a box main body 4 having a recessed part 4a, a tray box 5 with a recessed storage compartment 5a which is fitted in the recessed part 4a and serves as a small-article storage compartment, and a cover 3 with a cover main body 7 which is rotatably attached on the box main body 4 to cover the recessed storage compartment 5a of the tray box 5. A detachable inner cover 8 with a latch 41, that connects the inner cover 8 to the tray box 5, is attached inside the cover main body 7. The tray box 5, the cover main body 7 and the inner cover 8 have respectively pivotal holes 32, 33 and 34 so that they are rotatably pivoted on the box main body 4 by hinge bolts.
