Abstract:
To provide an armrest manufacturing method by which the structure of a case for housing a mechanism part is simplified.
Even for a case 10 in an open cross section structure, since a surface material 2 is pressurized to the terminal of the case 10 by a moving mold 36, a foaming raw material does not intrude into the case 10. Since the case 10 is in the open cross section structure, the case 10 is easily manufactured, and a lock mechanism 16 is easily housed inside the case 10 as well. Also, a strap 18 for operating the lock mechanism 16 can be put out to the outer side directly through the surface material 2. Thus, the need of securing the route of the strap 18 by using a tube as before is eliminated and the structure is simplified.
