Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a new fluorine-containing aromatic compound having increased dispersibility and compatibility of an inorganic and an organic substance with a fluorine-based material such as a fluorine-based oil and a fluorine-based resin showing high performances in many fields.
CONSTITUTION: This aromatic compound is a new fluorine-containing aromatic compound containing a fluoroalkyl group, a lipophilic (alkyl) group and a hydrophilic group in the same molecule, especially a compound of formula I [Rf is 1-20C fluoroalkyl; X is SO3M, COOM or PO3M2 (M is alkali metal or NH4; R is 1-20C alkyl)]. Further a compound of formula II (combinations wherein Ff=CF3, R=CH3 and Rf=CH3 and R=C2H5 are excluded) as a precursor for the compound formula I is also new. Furthermore a compound of formula III (a case wherein R=CH3, C6H13 or C8H17 is excluded. as a precursor for the new compound of formula II is also new. The compound of formula I is obtained by reacting the compound of formula II with SO3, etc. The compound of formula II is obtained by coupling the compound of formula III with a compound of the formula RfI.
