Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new aromatic diamine suitable for a raw material for polyamide which is satisfactory to flexibility and moldability and useful as an adhesive.
SOLUTION: This compound is shown by formula I {(m) and (n) are each 0 or 1;R is shown by formula II (R1 to R4 are each H, a halogen, 1-8C alkyl, aryl, alkenyl, aralkyl or 1-5C alkoxy) to formula V [R5 to R7 are each H, a 1-8C alkyl, aryl, alkenyl, aralkyl or 1-10C, 1-3O ω-alkyloxyoligo(alkylenoxy) alkyl]}, e.g. 3, 3'-domino-4,4'-diphenoxybenzophenone. A compound of formula I is obtained by reducing a compound obtained by condensing a dinitro compound (e.g. 4,4'-dihalogeno-3,-3'-dinitrobenzophenone) with a hydroxy compound shown by the formula; R-OH in the presence of a base in an aprotic polar solvent.
