Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a new compound having maximum absorption wavelength of UV spectrum at 372-382nm, free from absorption in visible range, having high sensitivity and excellent storage stability and solubility, and useful as a photosensitive agent, etc.
CONSTITUTION: The compound of formula I [Z1 is O-CH2, O-&phiv 1 (&phiv 1 is arylene or substituted arylene non-reactive with diazonium salt and nitrous acid), etc.; R1 and R2 are H, 1-8C alkyl or 1-8C alkyloxy; X- is anion; R3 is alkyl, aralkyl, etc.], e.g. the compound of formula II. The compound of formula I can be produced by deacylating a compound of formula III (Ac is acyl, arylsulfonyl, etc.) and diazotizing with a diazotizing reagent such as nitrous acid.
