Abstract:
To provide aromatic diiodonium salts which exhibit oxidizability beyond that of conventional acceptor materials containing aromatic mono-iodonium salts, is soluble in organic solvents, and can be suitably used for wet deposition.
The aromatic diiodonium salt is represented by the specified general formula 1. (Ar1 is a substituted or unsubstituted divalent aromatic group, and Ar2 and Ar3 are each a substituted or unsubstituted monovalent aromatic group and can be identical or different. Ar21, Ar22, Ar23 and Ar24 are each a substituted or unsubstituted monovalent aromatic group, where at least one of them is a monovalent aromatic group having an electron-withdrawing substituent and the others of them can be identical or different.)
