To obtain the subject new ester acrylate having highly branched molecular chains and having (meth)acrylate groups at the terminal portions, and to obtain the subject composition low in viscosity, high in curability, giving cured coating films excellent in heat resistance and moisture resistance and useful for protecting coating films and insulating films for electronic materials and for coatings for metal materials by including the new ester acrylate.
An ester acrylate of the formula [X is a 6-20C aromatic residue; Y is a 6-20C organic group having an acryl group or methacryl group; Z is a direct bond, a 6-20C aromatic residue; (m) is an integer of 1-10; (n) is an integer of 3-6]. A curable resin composition comprises (A) the ester acrylate of the formula obtained e.g. by Divergent method and (B) a polymerization initiator (2,2-dimethoxy-2-phenylacetophenone, benzoin propyl ether or the like) in an amount of 0.5-20 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the component A.
