Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the vibration from a propeller from being transmitted to a hull through a bracket by protruding the bracket from a ship's bottom obliquely backward, setting the angle formed by the rear edge of the bracket and the vertical line raised on a propeller shaft to a specified value or more, rounding the front edge part, and tapering the rear edge part into a wedge form.
SOLUTION: A bracket 18 is protruded largely from a ship's bottom 4 obliquely backward, and the angle α 2 formed by the rear edge 18b of the bracket 18 and the vertical line raised on a propeller shaft 12 is set to 45° or more. The length L2 of the bracket 12 is also increased to enhance the compliance in the bracket 18, so that the damping of vibration in the bracket 18 is enhanced. The body part 18d of the bracket 18 made into a flat plate having a fixed thickness, the front edge part 18c is rounded, and the rear edge part 18e is tapered in a wedge form. The strength of the part of a welding line 7 between the bracket 18 and a mounting plate 6 is improved, and even when the bracket 18 is vibrated, the part of the welding line 7 is never cracked.
