Abstract:

To reduce the number of faulty elements caused by a warp or twisted deformation without damaging a power transmitting property and durability of CVT belt including an endless belt and a plurality of elements being adjacent each other; to improve a yield of the elements.

The deformed elements are selected and arranged according to a direction of deformation. The deformed amount of the elements is measured in some embodiment, and the elements with the same direction of deformation are only selected. The arranged elements in which the deformed amount among the elements is only less than designated difference are preferably selected. Based on a mean value and deviation from the mean calculated from every manufacturing lot of the elements, the maximum gap among the elements is calculated when a plurality of lots of products are mixed each other, and mixable lots can be selected accordingly.
