Abstract:
To reduce types of vehicles that are organized when reducing cost for organization of a drive device for a railway vehicle and the entire vehicles.SOLUTION: An arrangement structure of a drive device comprises: a line breaker which shuts down a DC current from a DC wire supplied via a current collecting device; a high-speed current reducer which is connected to the line breaker to reduce the DC current; an inverter which drives a main motor by converting the DC current supplied via the high-speed current reducer into a three-phase AC current; and a first integral box and a second integral box in which drive devices constituted from filter reactors and filter capacitors suppressing voltage pulsation generated when operating the inverter are put together into one housing. The first integral box driving the main motor mounted on a first railway vehicle having the current collecting device, and the second integral box driving the main motor mounted on a second railway vehicle having no current collecting device are arranged under a floor of the first railway vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
