To provide the arrangement structure of intake pipes for an outboard motor and an auxiliary machine in which an intake system for the outboard motor consisting of a V-type vertically installed engine and the auxiliary machine for the engine are compactly housed inside a cowling so as to achieve miniaturization.

In an outboard motor in which a cylinder 14 is disposed behind of a crank chamber 11 for a vertically-installed V-type engine 10, intake pipes 17, 23 are disposed outside of V-type right and left banks 10a, 10b, exhaust pipes 18, 24 are disposed inside of the banks 10a, 10b, each of the intake pipes 17, 23 is connected to a surge tank 34, and a silencer 36 is disposed on an inlet side of the surge tank 34, the surge tank 34 for common use in the right and left banks 10a, 10b is disposed in front of the crank chamber 11 and the intake pipe 23 is connected to the front side of the surge tank 34.
