Abstract:
The device has a reference resistor (2) designed as a switched capacitor, and a comparator (3) coupled with a resistor (1) to be controlled and the reference resistor. The comparator outputs an error signal based on the comparison of the resistance values of the resistors. A control unit controls the resistance value of the resistor (1) based on the error signal. The reference resistance value depends on a switching frequency and a capacitance value of a condenser in the capacitor, where the temperature coefficient of the capacitance value is small e.g. 30 parts per million per Kelvin. An independent claim is also included for a method for temperature compensation of a resistor.
