Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an array antenna transmitter receiver in which the number of times of repetition processing of a calibration procedure is reduced.SOLUTION: An array antenna transmitter receiver includes an array antenna constituted of N antenna elements, N transmitters, N receivers, connections for connecting the transmitter and receiver to respective antenna elements, respectively, and a directivity control section for controlling the radiation pattern of the array antenna by weighting the amplitude and phase for at least one of the signals inputted to a plurality of transmitters, respectively, or the signals outputs from a plurality of receivers, respectively. The array antenna transmitter receiver further includes N branches for branching and taking out some of signals outputted, respectively, from the N transmitters, a synthesis section for synthesizing the N branched signals, a distribution section for distributing the synthesized signal to the receivers, respectively, and a calibration value calculating section for obtaining the calibration values of the amplitude and phase of respective antenna elements, based on the signals received, respectively, by the N receivers through the synthesis section and distribution section.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
