Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the control of array interval of grain by arraying non- magnetic material within a surface or in three dimensions by applying dc magnetic field which is horizontal and uniform for a magnetic recording medium surface or applying dc magnetic field by overlapping this dc magnetic field with ac magnetic field.
SOLUTION: The surface of a substrate 4 developing magnetic fluid 2 into which non-magnetic grain 1 is incorporated is made a magnetic recording medium which preliminarily records a magnetic pattern. Thus, uniform external magnetic field H passing through magnetic fluid 2 is modulated by leakage magnetic field from the magnetic recording medium, non-magnetic gain 1 receives an array limit according to the magnetic pattern and the array interval can be stably controlled by the period of a magnetic recording. By controlling the array interval in this way, an efficient grinding wheel surface which is difficult to generate clogging for various kinds of grinding materials can be formed if the non-magnetic grain 1 is abrasive grain, for instance.
