PURPOSE: To obtain the titled preparation useful for preventing and treating diseases becoming critical by abnormal multiplication of blood vessel, such as nodse rheumatism or diabetic retinopathy, having inhibitory action on arterialization, containing herbimycin A as an active ingredient.
CONSTITUTION: An arterialization containing herbimycin A as an active ingredient. When used, herbimycin A alone or a mixture of herbimycin A and an excipient or a carrier is processed into injection, oral agent or suppository and used. An alcohol, soybean oil, maltose and amino acid are used as the carrier. Various buffer solutions and mannitol are used in the case of injection and inositol and glucose are used as the excipient. The amount of the active ingredient in the preparation is usually 0.1W50wt.%, preferably 1W10wt.%, the amount is preferably 0.1W5wt.% in the case of injection and preferably 5W50wt.% in the case of tablet of oral administration.
