Abstract:

PURPOSE: To dispense with the consideration on difference of the number of processes between stations, unification of working time, etc.
CONSTITUTION: A parts-box loader 14 takes out a parts box 12 where one kind of goods for one lot are accommodated from a parts box storage, and position them at a waiting position P1 or P2. A robot hand change mechanism selects a robot hand fit for the holding of article positioned in waiting position, and replaces previous one with it and installs it on an automatic assembly device 30. The automatic assembly device 30 takes out parts one by one from the parts box positioned in the waiting position, and incorporates it into the article under assembly being sent to an assembly station one by one by a circulating carrier 40. The goods where the assembly of parts is performed are stored in buffer parts 40-2A and 40-2B. When one kind of parts within the parts box positioned in the waiting position all come to end of assembly, the robot hand change mechanism 36 changes the robot hand, and the attachment of parts from the next part box is performed.
