An article attitude changing device 1 is a device constituting a part of a conveyor line for conveying an article, and includes: a conveying unit 3; a turning unit 2; and an elevating unit 5 for moving the conveying unit 3 up and down. The turning unit 2 includes: a placing plate 10 for placing the article thereon; a relative rotating member 13 for turning the placing plate 10; and a motion conversion means 15 for converting motion of input power; and a turning roller 11 functioning as a driving source. When the elevating unit 5 is driven, the conveying unit 3 moves down, and then, the placing plate 10 of the turning unit 2 is positioned at a place higher than the conveying surface of the conveying unit 3.
