PURPOSE: To treat articles according to a needed method without interrupting the conveyance of the articles, by carrying the articles while connecting them to connecting pieces every fixed number, by separating them from corresponding connecting pieces, by treating them and by connecting the articles treated to the next, empty connecting pieces.
CONSTITUTION: A large number of connecting pieces 3 are mounted to an endless chain arranged to a lower portion of a guide rail 2, the upper ends of each connecting piece 3 are projected to portions upper than the guide rail 2 and the pitch P is made constant. Articles 1, such as, resistance condensers, etc. are carried in shapes that the articles are connected to the connecting pieces 3 every fixed number such as every second piece. When checking the polarity, the polarity is checked in such a manner that the articles 1 are lifted by means of a base 5b of a unit 5 at the lower side and contacted with a unit 4 at the upper side, and the articles 1 are connected to the connecting surfaces 3a of original, corresponding connecting pieces 3 and forwarded without hindrance.
