The article coated with a photocatalyst constituted of a substrate, an intermediate layer disposed on the substrate, and a photocatalyst layer disposed on the intermediate layer, is characterized in that the photocatalyst layer comprises ionized elemental copper and photocatalyst particles including a metal oxide excited by ultraviolet rays, and the intermediate layer comprises a weather resistant resin and a hydroxyphenyltriazine compound.
