Abstract:
To provide an article discrimination device that performs screening of articles by recognizing the shape or quality of material of the article (load).SOLUTION: An article discrimination device 15 comprises distance detection means 14 for obtaining information on a distance to an article, and a control circuit which obtains the information on the distance from the distance detection means 14, which determines a shape of a corner part of the article on the basis of the information on the distance and which sorts the articles on the basis of the shape of the corner part. The shape of the corner part is obtained by detecting a distance between the distance detection means 14 and the article. The articles can be reliably sorted by sorting the articles from the shape of the corner part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
